Jeff Anderson earned his B.S. degree in Natural Resource Management and a certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Rutgers University 2001. Jeff previously worked for the U.S. Forest Service as a wildland firefighter in Montana and Idaho for 3 years before relocating to Florida. During this time, Jeff served as a fire crew leader on many wildfires and prescribed burns. Jeff also completed the Wildland Firefighter Apprenticeship Program in Sacramento, CA in 2003.
Jeff joined the Land Stewardship staff in 2004 and is responsible for the hiring, overseeing and evaluating of contracted restoration work, operation and transport of heavy equipment and writing and updating the Fire Management Plan. As the burn team coordinator, Jeff also coordinates all fire-related training for the Land Stewardship staff.
Jeff is a Certified Prescribed Burn Manager and an ISA certified Arborist. He is a member of the Florida Association of Environmental Professionals and the International Society of Arboriculture. |
