Jim Green |

Jim Green is a native Floridian and was raised on Florida's west coast in the St. Petersburg area. During the 1980s, he held a USCG Captain's License and delivered sailboats along the eastern coastline of the US, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and South Pacific. During the mid-to-late 1980s, Jim worked for the state of Florida as a Park Ranger in Cayo Costa. In 1991, he began his career with Lee Co. Parks & Recreation and has held several diverse positions over the years; including landscape maintenance and ball fields. In his current Land Stewardship Coordinator position, he works and oversees various exotic plant control projects and other restoration efforts on other Lee County conservation lands, purchased prior to the Conservation 20/20 land acquisition program. Jim has a Restricted Use Pesticide Applicator License in Natural Areas Weed Management, ISA Certified Arborist, Certified Prescribed Burn Manager, Certified Pile Burner, and CDL Class B. |
