Charlotte Harbor Buffer Preserve (CHBP) contains nine parcels, about 400 acres combined, that were acquired by the C20/20 Program from 1999 through 2008.

In 2008, Land Stewardship staff secured a management agreement with Florida Department of Environmental Protection representatives so that CHBP can be included and co-managed along with the larger, adjacent Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park.

The Preserve contains several plant communities including pine flatwoods, scrubby flatwoods, scrub, oak hammock, tidal salt flats, tidal marsh, tidal swamps, and a disturbed Australian pine monoculture.
