This site is just over 8 acres in size and is located on the western side of Pine Island just over 3 miles north of Pine Island Center. Pineland Road runs through a portion of the preserve.

It is primarily a mangrove ecosystem with an upland portion that has been replanted with numerous native species. The upland portion of the preserve is also home to the Randell Research Center. This is a joint venture between Lee County's Conservation 20/20, who purchased the property, and the University of Florida Foundation, who manages the land.
