The Spring Ranger Guided Walk Series
Guided nature hikes will be provided by Conservation 20/20 Ranger Mickey Miller. Each hike is limited to 15 people so please R.S.V.P. at or (239) 229-0522. Space for vehicles is primitive & limited (please carpool) and there are no restroom facilities on-site.  Please remember to bring items you may need during the hike (i.e. water, hat, sunscreen, binoculars, camera, closed-toed shoes or boots, etc.).  Come see & experience the diversity that Lee County Conservation 20/20 Preserves has to offer!

Galt Preserve Trail Closure Lifted


Get out and enjoy the cool and dry Florida winter on the new amenities at Galt Preserve. These amenities include a parking areas, a composting restroom, canoe/kayak launch, trails, an observation deck, a fishing deck, and a number of picnic pavilions.

The portion of the trail that has been closed to the public due to a pair of nesting bald eagles has now re-opened since the eaglet has just recently fledged.

Pop Ash Creek and Telegraph Creek Preserves Re-Open
Both Pop Ash Creek and Telegraph Creek Preserves have now been completely reopened to the public after numerous closures for prescribed burns.

Prescribed fire is used as a natural and inexpensive way to repair and maintain fire dependent plant communities, reduce destructive wildfires, and to cycle nutrients all while protecting nearby homes.
For more information on why we burn click on the "Stewardship" tab and then select "Prescribed Fire."
